The Congressional Minute

Thank you Mr. Speaker. I reserve whatever time that I may consume.
I rise today in support of two amendments to the Energy Department appropriations bill brought forward yesterday by Representative McClintock of Truckee, CA.

This is the home of my esteemed colleague Odie / Woodsterman.

I must support the efforts of these great men of vision in their efforts to show the light of day on Eco-Fascism. Rep. McClintock has made a valient push in defunding GREEN subsidies.
The money grubbers were to many to oppose on both sides of the aisle yesterday however. The proposed amendments failed in voice vote.
I am appalled at the lack of vision and the complicit nature of my Republican colleagues when it comes to Energy Department funding overruns. There is over 3 Billion dollars from Obama stimulis cash still waiting to be spent and the Greens want more money. I applaud the Coservative Caucus however for voting down the increased spending in the amendments offered by Representatives Kaptur of OH, and Rep. Markey and Waxman.
I agree with Rep. McClintock and Thomas Jefferson when they say; "When government tells us when to sow and when to reap, we will be wanting bread."
I also rise in support of the repeal of the curly, mercury filled light bulb mandate which comes to the floor tonight.
I now yield the balance of my time to my esteemed colleague (and Michele Bachmann supporter)  Odie for closing statements. Thank you Mr. Speaker.

Thank you Sir for recognizing the Great Congressman from Truckee, California. The green cause is at it's worse up here in High Country. We put up with the Greenies from San Fransissyco coming up here and telling us how to live our lives. They even prefer fires to smart forest management. This thinking has led to fires that grow to 10 times the size they would have if the greenies had just stayed home.

I yield back the rest of my time ...
