Dogs Have Their Day Too!

A U.S. Army soldier with the 10th Special Forces Group and his military working dog jump off the ramp of a CH-47 Chinook helicopter from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment during water training over the Gulf of Mexico as part of exercise Emerald Warrior 2011 on March 1, 2011. Emerald Warrior is an annual two-week joint/combined tactical exercise sponsored by U.S. Special Operations Command designed to leverage lessons learned from operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom to provide trained and ready forces to combatant commanders. On this Independence Day I think that we should remember to give back a little to some of America's most loyal troops! In honor of our GOD GIVEN FREEDOMS give that old decrepit pooch of yours, or your animal of choice an extra hamburger or two this holiday weekend. And if we can, try to contribute a little to the cause of the returning war-dogs that have been injured or lost their companions in battle.           Hat Tip to Sono Annoiato

You may consider visiting  militaryworkingdogadoptions.com or uswardogs.org. or a shelter near you!

We be movin' on! Have a great INDEPENDENCE DAY!
