Martial Law: Has My City Crossed That Line?...Has Yours?

Steubenville City Manager Cathy Davison said Wednesday that calling for assistance from the National Guard is "absolutely an option" when dealing with out-of-town criminals who have infiltrated the city...WTOV 9

"Is the National Guard an option?"

"Oh, absolutely. It is an option and that's part of the conversation we're having with city council and the governor," answered Davison. "If that's what step we need to take to get people out of our city, can we utilize it?"

Federal Marshals and State Police are on my streets today going door to door with clipboards and drug sniffing dogs in tow. Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, ATF, and FBI are also involved in this effort to clean up our streets.

What I fear is that when we turn our city over to the FEDS, all of our freedoms and civil liberties have been lost...OR MORE PROPERLY STATED...GIVEN AWAY PERMANENTLY!

This may be coming soon to a city near you!

Attention on violent crime was raised this week after the Fraternal Order of Police Steubenville Lodge President Jim Marquis called a news conference at which he listed more than 40 "weapons calls" handled by the city police department since January.

A Chicago man was killed and another Chicago man was hurt in Steubenville Friday in a squabble police believe to be linked to drugs. Three Chicago men were arrested in West Virginia and charged in the attack.

Steubenville police were involved in a shootout on Saturday with a suspect in a robbery. There were no injuries and the suspect was arrested.

Residents of Steubenville's hilltop neighborhoods have suggested that out-of-town criminals are becoming more bold and do not fear arrest or prosecution.

"We have an influx of people almost every week that no one knows who they are. They're from out of town," said a hilltop resident who asked not to be identified out of concern for the safety of his family. "They're very flagrant about it. They do not care. I'm afraid if this escalates this summer, someone innocent is really going to get hurt."

Alert: New York City Mayor Bloomberg says the US Constitution will 'have to change'

Bloomberg using terrorism scare tactics to force compliance to new safety laws

As the smoke clears from the Boston Marathon bombing, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is wasting no time. In a press conference Monday, Bloomberg came right out and said that the country's interpretation of the Constitution will "have to change" to allow for greater security.

Building upon his call for a redefined Constitution, he proclaimed, "We live in a complex word where you're going to have to have a level of security greater than you did back in the olden days, if you will. And our laws and our interpretation of the Constitution, I think, have to change."

"We have to understand that in the world going forward, we're going to have more cameras and that kind of stuff. That's good in some sense, but it's different from what we are used to," he said.
