Psycho Talk Sunk

The canning of seething ball of left-wing hate Keith Olbermann was only the beginning of the changes at MSNBC, which under Comcast's ownership appears ready to pull back from the brink of moonbat insanity.

MSNBC host Ed Schultz announced Thursday on his radio show that his "Psycho Talk" segment had been discontinued by MSNBC executives.

Also, his show was demoted from 6 pm Eastern to 10 pm.

"There's probably people in positions that are a helluva lot smarter than I am and have decided that that's what the way it's going to be," Schultz said in an uncharacteristically servile response to the decision.

But Ed, what about the bellicose boasts you made?

On January 11, following the Tucson shooting, Schultz said that he had no intention of discontinuing the segment. "As long as they open their mouths over there on the right, we will continue to have the segment called 'Psycho Talk,'" said Schultz.

How's this for psycho talk:

Schultz has been on thin ice with network executives before. According to the New York Post, NBC News President Steve Capus and MSNBC President Phil Griffin threatened to fire Schultz in August following a newsroom rant. Schultz had reportedly said, "I'm going to torch this fucking place" in a fury over a lack of promotion for his show.

Look at the bright side, Special Ed. At least you still have a job. For now.
