Does anyone out there see SAUL ALINSKI"S bony hand in this?
Is there a difference between censorship and blocking the use of certain words to protect the feelings of some people? The New York City school system believes there is and has instructed companies that create testing materials to exclude dozens of words and terms from their submissions.
Some of the “offensive” words and topics:
- Dinosaur – apparently people who don’t believe in evolution might be offended
- Halloween – rumored to support Paganism and that bothers some
- Birthday – Jehovah‘s Witnesses don’t celebrate birthdays, so nobody else should know about it… right?
- Dancing - unless it is ballet dancing
- Computers – if mentioned as being in homes… use in schools and libraries is ok
Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum said Thursday that President Obama wants more young adults to go to college so they can undergo “indoctrination” to a secular world view.
In an hour-long interview with conservative television host Glenn Beck, Santorum also defended his record on abortion and his vote in favor of President George W. Bush’s No Child Left Behind education law.
On the president’s efforts to boost college attendance, Santorum said, “I understand why Barack Obama wants to send every kid to college, because of their indoctrination mills, absolutely … The indoctrination that is going on at the university level is a harm to our country.”
He claimed that “62 percent of kids who go into college with a faith commitment leave without it,” but declined to cite a source for the figure. And he floated the idea of requiring that universities that receive public funds have “intellectual diversity” on campus...The Washington MonthlyThis has been at the center of the Communist agenda for America for decades...not only in colleges...but at the middle school and high school level as well. It seems only natural that they would move on to the younger students at some point.
Now their time has come under the Obama Regime, when they feel empowered to implement their plans to the fullest.
Now the Council on Foreign Relations...ARRRGGHHHH...has chimed in saying that THE GOVERNMENT MUST TAKE A FIRM HAND ON ALL OF OUR SCHOOLS.
This is just the beginning of the end folks, unless we stop the Dept. of Education in it's tracks NOW!
The United States must improve its education system or risk imperiling national security and the economy, according to a new report from a blue-ribbon panel convened by the Council on Foreign Relations.
“U.S. Education Reform and National Policy,” the product of the 30-member task force chaired by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Joel I. Klein, former chancellor of the New York City Public Schools, cites statistics demonstrating the failures of the school system and recommends more school-choice efforts, an annual nationwide audit of educational achievement, and national standards in subjects such as civics and foreign languages.
Four commission members, however, dissented from those recommendations...More at The Reason Foundation

If you want the ultimate, complete and damning documentation of the progressive assualt on American education, check out the book The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America by Charlotte Iserbyt. It's online for FREE at American Deception.com.
She goes decade by decade starting in the 1890s, and uses their own documents against them, follows the money and reveals their shocking correspondence. (They called for drugging kids back in the '70s, etc.)
Charlotte was the #2 person at the Dept. of Ed under Reagan, but was "let go" after she objected to what was going on (Communist workforce training). Check it out if you want to get to brass tacks.
It's the lefts doctrine ... conquer from within.
Thanks Rep. Mom. I hadforgotten about that old tome. I read it in college prep.
We are headed toward oblivion Odie. Darwin was right in one respect. "Natural selection" has given us the lowest common denominator as the template for our future.
