My sister went to the same one room school that my dad had attended. By the time I came along, there was a three room school about a mile up the road. Those were the schools that put men on the moon. At least modern kids know how to use Facebook.

My mother also went to this school. Her first job was as the editor of our hometown newspaper--The Eldersville Gazzette. years later, I had a hand in rebuilding the school on a historic site--Meadowcroft village in Avella, PA. My first school had two rooms and some of the same teachers my mother had.
