Shut Up You Tea Partiers!

John Kerry has waded into the media waters and now wants the news to cut out conservatives he doesn’t agree with.

During a discussion of the debt deal and the economy on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Friday, the current Massachusetts senator and former presidential candidate lambasted the Tea Party and conservatives and the idea that they should be given “equal time” in the media. According to him, their ideas are so whacky that they don’t deserve air time:
“And I have to tell you, I say this to you politely. The media in America has a bigger responsibility than it’s exercising today. The media has got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual.
“It doesn’t deserve the same credit as a legitimate idea about what you do. And the problem is everything is put into this tit-for-tat equal battle and America is losing any sense of what’s real, of who’s accountable, of who is not accountable, of who’s real, who isn’t, who’s serious, who isn’t?”

And this guy was almost president.

Of course Herman Munster and his fellow libs in Congress running the economy into the ground have nothing to do with it.
(The Hill) — Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) blamed legislators who refused to negotiate on increasing the debt ceiling for Congress’s record-low approval ratings.
“I resent the fact that a small group of people in the Untied States Congress are painting the entire Congress with this broad brush because of their unwillingness to do what many of us are prepared to do,” Kerry said Friday on MSNBC. “We need adults — thoughtful people who are willing to come to the table and negotiate.
“The problem is not the institution, it’s the people,” Kerry continued. “And it’s a small group of people who don’t negotiate. If you’re not willing to negotiate, nobody can make something happen. We had a group of people who actually argued for default.”
Kerry’s comments come after a new New York Times/CBS News poll found that only 14 percent of registered voters think members of Congress should be reelected and 74 percent say they don’t deserve another term.

Oh noes, the country has been overrun by terrorists!
(CNS News) – The percentage of Americans who expressly state that they are supporters of the Tea Party movement is currently about as large at 22 percent of the population as the 21 percent who say they are liberals, according to recent but separate Gallup polls.
Meanwhile, at 41 percent of the population, according to Gallup, self-described conservatives outnumber both Tea Party movement supporters and liberals by nearly 2-to-1.
In separate polls done on July 27 and August 2, 23 and 22 percent of respondents told Gallup they considered themselves supporters of the Tea Party movement.
These polls (each of which was conducted in one day) had a margin of error of +/-4 points, and Gallup warned that polls conducted in one day “are subject to additional error or bias not found in polls conducted over several days.”
In fact, the July 27 and August 2 polls showed a considerably smaller percentage of Americans saying they were Tea Party supporters than previous Gallup polls conducted over three- and four-day periods.

For example, a Gallup survey conducted April 20-23 of this year, found that 30 percent of Americans described themselves as Tea Party supporters. Similarly, a Gallup poll conducted Jan. 14-16 of this year also found that 30 percent of Americans described themselves as Tea Party supporters.
We are and will continue to be THE most influential force in American politics for years to come.
It is not suprising that moveon.org doesn't like us either.

Please "move on" to my next Saturday post below to see what more of the NUTS are doing!

Most Americans today consider John Kerry, who was a noteworthy coward while wearing the uniform in Vietnam, to be irrelevant.

With every word from his selfish, over-indulged, married-the rich widow's lips, he simply reinforces that irrelevance. Being a billionaire Democrat in Mass. earns him a seat in the Senate - but who really cares?

I just love how Carter, Clinton, Kerry and so many other "irrelevant" Progressives seem to gain the media spotlight time after time however.

"The media has got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual."
Maybe in this aspect, he is right.
You know the absurd, not factual rants from the left like the Tea Party are racist and/or terrorist, or that a right winger shot Giffords, or... I think you get the point. :)
