State Dept: We’re Too ‘Dumb’ To Understand Obama’s Libya Explanation

In a disastrous question-answer session at the State Department yesterday, State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland first tried to claim that the murder of our ambassador to Libya may have been touched off by a demonstration about the YouTube video after all.

Then she claimed that even though the State Department had no reports of any demonstration, the intelligence community may have told them that a demonstration happened.

Then when Nuland was questioned on that astonishing assessment, she literally said she was “dumb.”

MS. NULAND: Look, I’m generally dumber than most of the rest of the government. I mean, that’s what I’m paid to be. (Laughter.)

End of discussion.

Elizabeth Warren On The Union Warpath

The race for the U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts is probably one of the hottest contests in the country, next to the presidential race. Democrat Elizabeth Warren is trying to unseat incumbent Republican Scott Brown. Brown stunned the state and the nation by winning the seat vacated by the death of Ted Kennedy.

Warren is a law professor at Harvard Law School with less than stellar credentials. It appears the only reason she was hired by Harvard Law School was to fill a minority quota as there were many other better qualified male candidates for the position.

From her days at Harvard Law School, she has also claimed minority status as being part American Indian. However, further investigations reveal that if she does have any Indian blood in her that it is not nearly enough to qualify her as being part of the minority ethnic group. But that hasn’t stopped her from continuing to claim it and use it to try to sway Indian votes for herself and Obama. There is also evidence that she has been practicing law in the state of Massachusetts without a license.

With their candidate’s tarnished background and reputation, the Democrats are pulling out all of the stops to drum up enough support for Warren to help her unseat Brown in November. At the recent Warren – Brown debate in Springfield, Massachusetts, a Republican tracker began asking questions to the Warren supporters outside.

He approached one Warren supporter and asked him if he had attended the earlier debate. In the ensuing conversation, the Warren supporter admitted that had he not attended the debate, the labor union would have fined him $150 and then later adds that the fine would have been $250 for anyone that didn’t show up.

Workers Unite...Behind Romney!

David Siegel, the founder and CEO of real estate company Westgate Resorts on Monday threatened to fire some employees if Barack Obama is reelected and carries out his plan to raise taxes on the so-called rich.

The following are highlights from an email message sent by Siegel to his staff that was obtained and verified as authentic by Gawker:

Subject: Message from David Siegel
Date:Mon, 08 Oct 2012 13:58:05 -0400 (EDT)
From: [David Siegel]
To: [All employees]

To All My Valued Employees,

As most of you know our company, Westgate Resorts, has continued to succeed in spite of a very dismal economy. There is no question that the economy has changed for the worse and we have not seen any improvement over the past four years. In spite of all of the challenges we have faced, the good news is this: The economy doesn't currently pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is another 4 years of the same Presidential administration. Of course, as your employer, I can't tell you whom to vote for, and I certainly wouldn't interfere with your right to vote for whomever you choose. In fact, I encourage you to vote for whomever you think will serve your interests the best. [...]

Now, the economy is falling apart and people like me who made all the right decisions and invested in themselves are being forced to bail out all the people who didn't.

The people that overspent their paychecks suddenly feel entitled to the same luxuries that I earned and sacrificed 42 years of my life for. Yes, business ownership has its benefits, but the price I've paid is steep and not without wounds.

Unfortunately, the costs of running a business have gotten out of control, and let me tell you why:

We are being taxed to death and the government thinks we don't pay enough. We pay state taxes, federal taxes, property taxes, sales and use taxes, payroll taxes, workers compensation taxes and unemployment taxes. I even have to hire an entire department to manage all these taxes.

The question I have is this: Who is really stimulating the economy? Is it the Government that wants to take money from those who have earned it and give it to those who have not, or is it people like me who built a company out of his garage and directly employs over 7000 people and hosts over 3 million people per year with a great vacation?

Obviously, our present government believes that taking my money is the right economic stimulus for this country. The fact is, if I deducted 50% of your paycheck you'd quit and you wouldn't work here. I mean, why should you? Who wants to get rewarded only 50% of their hard work? Well, that's what happens to me. [...]

Business is at the heart of America and always has been. To restart it, you must stimulate business, not kill it. However, the power brokers in Washington believe redistributing wealth is the essential driver of the American economic engine. Nothing could be further from the truth and this is the type of change they want.

[[ Editors' Note: Black actress Stacey Dash defends Romney after facing racist attacks: ‘I chose him not by the color of his skin but the content of his character’]]

So where am I going with all this? It's quite simple. If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, as our current President plans, I will have no choice but to reduce the size of this company. Rather than grow this company I will be forced to cut back. This means fewer jobs, less benefits and certainly less opportunity for everyone.

So, when you make your decision to vote, ask yourself, which candidate understands the economics of business ownership and who doesn't? Whose policies will endanger your job? Answer those questions and you should know who might be the one capable of protecting and saving your job. While the media wants to tell you to believe the "1 percenters" are bad, I'm telling you they are not. They create most of the jobs. If you lose your job, it won't be at the hands of the "1%"; it will be at the hands of a political hurricane that swept through this country.

You see, I can no longer support a system that penalizes the productive and gives to the unproductive. My motivation to work and to provide jobs will be destroyed, and with it, so will your opportunities. If that happens, you can find me in the Caribbean sitting on the beach, under a palm tree, retired, and with no employees to worry about.

Signed, your boss,

David Siegel

For those unfamiliar with Siegel, he is the founder and CEO of Westgate Resorts, a real estate and timeshare company.

He and his wife were also the subject of the recent documentary "The Queen of Versailles" about their desire to build the largest home in America.

According to Gawker, they were worth over a billion dollars in 2007, but that could be less now as a result of the real estate bust.

Here We Go Again: Troops headed to Jordan

BRUSSELS (AP) — The United States has sent military troops to the Jordan-Syria border to bolster that country's military capabilities in the event that violence escalates along its border with Syria, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Wednesday.

Speaking at a NATO conference of defense ministers in Brussels, Panetta said the U.S. has been working with Jordan to monitor chemical and biological weapons sites in Syria and also to help Jordan deal with refugees pouring over the border from Syria. The troops are also building a headquarters for themselves.

But the revelation of U.S. military personnel so close to the 19-month-old Syrian conflict suggests an escalation in the U.S. military involvement in the conflict, even as Washington pushes back on any suggestion of a direct intervention in Syria...Read More

Turkey forces down jet bound for Syria

Turkish authorities discovered crates of military equipment bound for the Syrian armed forces after forcing a passenger jet from Moscow to Damascus to land, Turkish newspapers reported.
Intelligence reports said the plane was carrying cargo banned by civil aviation rules, Turkey's Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, said.
We are determined to control the flow of weapons to the regime in Syria, which is mercilessly massacring its people.

The plane was carrying about 30 passengers and some cargo that it didn't report, Mr Davutoglu said in an interview broadcast by TGRT television from Athens, without specifying what the cargo was. Authorities later discovered 12-13 "giant" crates of equipment destined for the Syrian armed forces, including communications gear and jammers, the Istanbul-based Hurriyet newspaper said.

"HIS Muslim Faith"

NEW YORK – As a student at Harvard Law School, then-bachelor Barack Obama’s practice of wearing a gold band on his wedding-ring finger puzzled his colleagues.

Now, newly published photographs of Obama from the 1980s show that the ring Obama wore on his wedding-ring finger as an unmarried student is the same ring Michelle Robinson put on his finger at the couple’s wedding ceremony in 1992.

Moreover, according to Arabic-language and Islamic experts, the ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: “There is no god except Allah.”

Inscription on Obama's ring

The Shahada is the first of the Five Pillars of Islam, expressing the two fundamental beliefs that make a person a Muslim: There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is Allah’s prophet.

The Fifty Dollar Lesson

An unknown author’s story:

Recently, while I was working in the flower beds in the front yard, my neighbors stopped to chat as they returned home from walking their dog. During our friendly conversation, I asked their little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, “If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?” She replied… “I’d give food and houses to all the homeless people.”

Her parents beamed with pride!

“Wow…what a worthy goal!” I said. “But you don’t have to wait until you’re President to do that!” I told her.

“What do you mean?” she replied.

So I told her, “You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and trim my hedge, and I’ll pay you $50. Then you can go over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out and give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house.”

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, “Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?”

I said, “Welcome to the Republican Party.” Her parents aren’t speaking to me anymore.

Code Pink: "We Support the Murder of American Troops." Michelle Obama "Keep up the Good Work."

Moochellle's support of Code Pink really disgusts me. EXCERPTS:

First Lady Michelle Obama, accepting an anti-war petition at a fundraiser in San Francisco last week, told the CodePink member who presented her with 20,000 signatures, ”Keep up the great work,” the organization’s co-founders say.

Kristin Hull, a CodePink supporter – one who paid to get into the $500 a head fundraiser – personally met up with Michelle Obama at the California Academy of Sciences last Friday.

After Hull handed Mrs. Obama a petition urging peacekeeping not war with Iran — a document signed by luminaries like Gloria Steinham, Alice Walker and Eve Ensler – ”Ms. Obama thanked Hull for her advocacy and said, “Keep up the great work,” writes Benjamin. “As Hull was walking away after her photo with the First Lady,

Michelle Obama grabbed her hand, squeezed it and said, “We really need you.”

San Francisco Chronicle comrade Joe Garofoli, the pool reporter for the Obama event, wrote about the presentation of the petition to Mrs. Obama during the fundraiser. But he was not allowed to shoot video and was escorted inside only to hear the First Lady’s 22-minute address.

Here’s Garofoli’s story on the fundraiser.

And here’s Medea Benjamin’s version of how it went last week in San Francisco:

“On Friday, March 30, First Lady Michelle Obama received an unusual request at her San Francisco fundraiser. Instead of “Can I have a picture with you?,” one major donor asked, “Will you use your leadership to prevent an attack on Iran?”

“Kristin Hull hand delivered to Ms. Obama a petition against war on Iran that was signed by prominent women including Gloria Steinem, Alice Walker, and Eve Ensler, and over 20,000 American women and allies.

“Hull implored the First Lady to think of the military families and veterans who have paid the price of war. Ms. Obama has championed veterans’ issues while in office and for this reason, in addition to her obvious proximity to the President, women’s groups have made her a focus
of their peace efforts.

October Suprises Abound

I am warning everyone today...

Expect the Left to begin an attack on America from within and without.

Be prepared for violent "Red October".

On Thursday, the Washington Examiner reported that the Obama campaign has been trying to block a story that reveals a major donor scandal being prepared by a national magazine and web site.

"But," Paul Bedard wrote, a "key source said it plans to publish the story Friday or, more likely, Monday."

According to Bedard's sources, "a taxpayer watchdog group conducted a nine-month investigation into presidential and congressional fundraising and has uncovered thousands of cases of credit card solicitations and donations to Obama and Capitol Hill, allegedly from unsecure accounts, and many from overseas."

"That," he added, "might be a violation of federal election laws."

Turkey protested angrily to the UN and NATO after Syrian shelling Wednesday killed five people in a town near the border.

The victims, among them a mother and her three children, were the first Turkish nationals killed by cross-border fire in the Syrian conflict.

On Wednesday, the town mayor also said that "there is anger in our community against Syria," adding that stray bullets and shells had panicked residents for the past 10 days.

A week ago, the Turkish army deployed artillery and anti-aircraft missiles along the border in the region.

Will the United States military strike targets in Libya before the October 22 presidential debate, which, coincidentally, will focus on foreign policy and national security?

Probably.

Would this attack fall into the “October Surprise” or “Wag the Dog” category?

Probably not...Opposing Views

What is Barack Obama preparing for? What does Barack Obama actually expect to happen in November? Does he believe that the upcoming election could actually spark rampant civil unrest inside the United States?

The conditions are certainly ripe for civil unrest in this country. A multitude of recent polls and surveys have shown that Americans are angrier and more frustrated than ever. Sadly, we are taking a lot of that anger and frustration out on each other. America is more divided today than at any other time since the Civil War era.

The left absolutely hates Mitt Romney
The Republicans, and the right absolutely hates Barack Obama and the Democrats. If you doubt this, just surf political blogs for a few hours and read the comments that people leave. This country is a boiling cauldron of hatred and anger and all it is going to take is just the right "spark" to cause all of this hatred and anger to absolutely explode. This upcoming election season is likely to be one of the most heated and divisive election seasons in U.S. history, and if there is not a clear winner on election night there is the potential that chaos could be unleashed that would be far, far worse than anything we saw during the Bush/Gore debacle of 2000.

Right now, the polls tell us that this is likely to be a very, very tight election. If you doubt this, just check out the daily Gallup tracking poll.

As I write this, Obama and Romney are tied at 46 percent.
