TENNESSEANS, ARE YOU GOING TO TAKE THIS?: School Takes Kids to Mosque, Gives them Copies of Koran

 

A Tennessee high school has decided to revise its field trip policy after a group of freshmen were taken to an Islamic mosque where they were given copies of the Koran and while a student who opted out of the trip was given a worksheet that alleged Muslims treated their conquered people better than the United States treated minorities.

 

 

The students were in an honors world studies class at Hendersonville High School and the field trips to the mosque as well as a Hindu temple were part of a three-week course on world religions.

But some parents objected to the trips and wondered why the school would tour a mosque but not a Christian church or a Jewish synagogue.

“If you can’t go to all five, why are you going to any?” asked parent Mike Conner. “We sent the principal an email and voiced our concerns. She sent back a reply and told us they could not afford to go to all five.”

Children were given punch and cookies at the mosque where they listened to readings from the Koran, Conner said. They were also given copies of the Islamic holy book – which some students took and others declined.

During their visit to the Hindu temple, students engaged in meditation.

“Our kids are being indoctrinated and this is being shoved in their face,” Conner told Fox News. “It tells me they are pushing other religions and they want Christianity to take a back seat. They want our children to be tolerant of everything except Christianity.”

A Sumner County Schools spokesman declined to answer questions about specific religious activities the children may have engaged in, but he did send a statement acknowledging there was concern about the trip.

“Our district has reviewed the practice and decided to eliminate field trips to religious venues from this class, as it does not provide equal representation to all the religions studied in the course unit,” the statement read. “This decision was made due to the fact that equal representation in regards to field trips for all religions studied in the course is not feasible.”

'Dreamer' Promoted By Durbin Laughs About Using US Flag As Prop For 'Messaging'

 

A prominent "Dreamer" activist named Alaa Mukahhal took to social media to laugh about her cynical use of the American flag as a prop for "messaging" after her story was highlighted by Illinois Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin.

Breitbart...In 2012, Sen. Durbin took to the floor of the Senate and held up a gigantic photograph of a smiling young woman wearing a Muslim hijab with an American flag in the background. He introduced her as Alaa Mukahhal, a Kuwaiti-born 'Dreamer' activist whom he described as being 'of Palestinian descent,' and who was brought to the country illegally at a young age by her parents, went on to become an honor student, get a degree in architecture and now needed a path to citizenship so, Durbin said, she could fufill her American dream. Durbin even went so far as to feature Alla on his own official webpage.

Durbin read from a letter Alaa wrote, saying about herself:

"I'm an asset to this country, a resource, and I want to make good use of my degree."

Durbin closed his Senate Speech about Alla saying:

"In the finest American tradition, Alaa has become an activist. She has stepped out to introduce herself to America, so we know who these Dream Act students are."

A look her Facebook page paints a different picture of Alaa than Sen. Durbin's glowing ode: she's a potty mouthed, politically correct, Israel hating radical activist who drops F bombs and politically correct buzzwords with equal acumen.

After Sen. Durbin held up the photo of her with the US flag featured prominently, Alaa took to her Facebook page to chortle about how the flag wasn't there to show any love for the United States -- a country she said she hated when she came here -- but a PR prop.

On February 3, 2012 she said:

Did ya'll notice the flag in the background of the pic? That was no coincidence #messaging #lol

The photo that Dick Durbin held up mocked patriotism. It was a completely cynical use of American iconography in order to serve a propoganda agenda. Alaa not only brags about it, she laughs about.

In an open letter to her parents, Alaa doesn't discuss architecture but her passion for community organizing:

Dear Mama and Baba, I can’t stop organizing. Organizing is the reason I get up in the morning. I have to, need to organize because the alternative, doing nothing and staying silent is more oppressive than the immigration system itself.

The rest of her Facebook writing reveals the real Alaa, full of bitterness and anger about almost everything. In a Facebook rant last year, Alaa blames her undocumented status on Israel.

University Of California Paying $9,950 A Month For Janet Napolitano’s House

 

The University of California has leased an Oakland residence for incoming system president Janet Napolitano for $9,950 a month, officials said Monday.

Napolitano, the former U.S. secretary of Homeland Security and former governor of Arizona, will be provided the housing plus an annual $570,000 salary, $8,916 a year for car expenses and $142,500 for one-time relocation costs.

Napolitano is scheduled to begin her UC presidency Sept. 30, with her office at UC system headquarters in downtown Oakland.

The two-year lease for the 3,500-square-foot residence began Sept. 1. The monthly rent is $2,550 less than what UC recently has been paying for a Lafayette home for current President Mark G. Yudof.

The lease terms were revealed as the regents are scheduled to discuss Tuesday whether to take the first steps toward the renovation of a UC-owned mansion in Kensington that had been the residence of UC presidents until five years ago. It has been mainly unused since.

Wild Boar Drinks 18 Beers...Chaos Ensues...WTFFF?

 

A wild boar in Australia caused a ruckus in a campsite when the swine stole and drank 18 beers from a camper.

The pig then got the drunk munchies and rooted around various campsites for food, the Metro reports.

The pig apparently then decided to pick a fight with a nearby cow, however the fight didn’t turn out the way he probably imagined it would.

A camper said, “There were some other people camped right on the river and they saw him being chased around their vehicle by a cow.”

Authorities searched for the boar only to find him passed out under a tree, no doubt sleeping it off.
