A Bosnian man being re-tried for an attack on the US Embassy in Sarajevo in 2011 has apologised for his “stupid act”.

Mevlid Jasarevic told the court that he had been manipulated and then rejected by his radical Islamist mentors.

“I truly apologise and regret any problems that my acts have caused to anyone,” Jasarevic told a Sarajevo court.

“How is it possible that all those who were telling me about jihad are now playing with their children and live free, with their wives, while I have not seen my child for months?”

Jasarevic, 25, fired at the embassy for more than 40 minutes with an automatic rifle, seriously wounding a police officer. The attack sparked fears that, as Bosnia recovered from the wars of the 1990s, its Muslim population was becoming radicalized.

So where else should we be looking? This time it’s the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). And as the FCC goes rogue, we conservatives should be very worried. Just think about it. Liberals have never been able to compete with conservatives in the “arena of ideas”. And which medium is the consummate arena for ideas and independent thought? Why, it’s Talk Radio of course. That and the explosion of conservative websites and blogs.
Evidently statists have tolerated this for long enough. Just as they charge the EPA with destroying any industry they don’t care for, so are they going to attempt to shut down any and all conservative opposition to their agenda.
The Daily Caller reported that our government, you know, the one with no money, is paying about $1 million to a liberal group, “Social Solutions International”, for a study entitled, “Multi-market Study of Critical Information Needs”.
In May of this year, FCC chairwoman, Mignon Clyburn, daughter of ultraliberal hack and race baiter, James Clyburn claimed, “The FCC has a duty to make sure that the industries it regulates serve the needs of the American public… the research design we announce today is an important next step in understanding what those needs are, how Americans obtain the information critical to their daily lives in a dynamic technological environment, and what barriers exist in our media ecologies to providing and assessing this information”.
And who decides what those needs are? Why of course, our benevolent government.

Like the IRS did to Tea Party organizations – the study is designed to intrude into the businesses they interview by asking questions like, “what is the news philosophy of the station?” How is that any of the governments concern and why is this type of knowledge important to the statists?
 
Well, the FCC says it is necessary to “ensure that the critical informational needs of Americans are being met… advance the goal of diversity, including the promotion of greater woman and minority participation in media”. And again, government will be the one who decides what is “critical information”. And then of course, there’s the old diversity play.
 
They won’t bother with television because there is already plenty of diversity. TV has white and black liberals, so that’s considered diverse.
 
It’s that pesky Talk Radio that, once and for all, must be dealt with. This is the administration’s endgame. This is why the FCC has commissioned this study.
 
Conservative talk radio is and has been the driving force of the right. The progressives on both sides of the aisle know this. With this president, his administration and progressive legislators, they know they have not had a better chance to rid themselves of the truth tellers on the right.
 
Politicians, both Republican and Democrat are scared to death of Talk Radio. They know they can’t compete with or buy off the Limbaughs, Becks, Levins, etc., so they must regulate them out of existence.
 
If not simultaneously, soon after they crush talk radio, they will set up on the Internet.
 
If we are not vigilant, like Obamacare, the government will end up also controlling all media.

The minority owned non-profit org.  Social Solutions International has been hired by the Obama regime by a "No Bid Contract" delivered directly to them on a silver platter in order to advance their MISSION STATEMENT..."To impose Social Justice worldwide".

Why does Michelle Obama want to starve poor, needy, hungry children?

 

As reported by the NY Post, some 76 million meals a year will vanish from NYC children as President Barack Obama diverted money from SNAP to first lady Michelle Obama’s signature program, Let’s Move anti-obesity initiative, $4.5 billion Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act. According to the report, the food grab began in 2010, when President Obama, with Michelle and the US Department of Agriculture chief at his side, signed the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act. At the time, he admitted taking cash from one pocket to feed the other.

 

As you dig into your Butterball with all the trimmings this Thanksgiving, remember that millions of famished schoolkids around America may be forced to forgo classic turkey — and chow down instead on vegan black-bean patties and organic locavore quinoa salad.

 

On Nov. 1, sizable cuts were gouged into the federal food-stamp program (or, as it’s now called, SNAP, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), which feeds 47.6 million people, or nearly one in six Americans. In the city, 1.9 million folks get the bulk of their Jell-O and Campbell’s Soup from stamps.
 

But news has spread among the poor, like leafy green vegetables, that it wasn’t heartless Republicans who triggered the cuts.
 

Rather, some of the food-stamp cash was snatched to pay for Michelle Obama’s pet project, Let’s Move. What?

Obama Purge On US Military Continues – Fires 10th Commander

Why is Barack Obama now purging military commanders here in America? Using an excuse of a ‘lack of confidence’, the commander of the largest military base in Japan has been let go as shared in the following Infowars video report.

 

Is Obama now purging military commanders who refuse to fire upon Americans as suggested in the second video? Even Catholic Online is ripping Barack Obama apart about this purge.

It reads like Soviet history under Stalin, but the U.S. military’s top brass are quietly being purged by Obama who some allege is on a mission to “emasculate” the military.

Patrick Brady said that Obama is destroying the morale of the U.S. Army so that officers and men no longer feel they are prepared to fight. “There is no doubt he (Obama) is intent on emasculating the military and will fire anyone who disagrees with him” over such issues as “homosexuals, women in foxholes, the Obama sequester,” Brady told WND News.

Israel outraged by US leak about Syrian strike

 

 

The US intelligence leak that confirmed Israeli warplanes attacked Syrian territories has stirred considerable anger in Israel, with officials accusing the US of causing damage to Israel. 

 

Israel's Yedioth Aharonoth newspaper reports that after the US leaked the information confirming that Israel's Air Force was responsible for the attack against a Syrian military site in Latakia, senior officials in Israel expressed outrage.

 

American news channel CNN quoted a US source yesterday who revealed that the Israeli Air Force attacked a Syrian site which contained PSA-17 anti-aircraft missiles. The Israeli newspaper further explained that: "it is estimated that the missiles were to be transferred from Syria to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

 

The US-leaked information reflects the deep political differences between the US and Israel, especially since this is the third time that Washington has leaked information about Israeli air strikes in Syria."

It’s been a tough month for President Obama. His beloved healthcare scheme is a slow-motion train wreck and he wasn’t able to trick Republicans into a tax hike as part of budget fights.   So let’s pile on with some humor.   We’ll start with some NSA-related material. We’ve already shared some amusing cartoons, so now it’s time for a photo from Europe.

  

I don’t know if this is a real pic, but it’s still funny. Not quite as good as this set of images portraying Obama as a voyeur, but worth a chuckle. And it may be a very positive development if it’s a sign that Europeans are beginning to realize that there’s a downside to Obama’s statism.   Speaking of downsides, let’s turn our attention to Obamacare. We’ve certainly had fun mocking Obamacare in the past, and this picture is a welcome addition to our collection.
 
  

Though it’s not actually funny when you think of all the people who are suffering because of – as Mark Steyn explained – the President’s scheme to create more dependency.  Let’s now shift from the specific topics of Obamacare and the NSA to share some humor about the President’s overall ideology.   I’ve previously explained that he’s a run-of-the-mill statist, not a socialist. Though if you want a specific term of opprobrium, then it’s accurate to call him a corporatist.   That being said, I confess that I was amused when this image landed in my inbox.

  

 Sort of reminds me of the cartoon at the bottom of this post. But not exactly. I think FDR actually was further to the left than Obama. If you don’t believe me, just listen to Roosevelt in his own words.   Last but not least, it seems the President is going to star in a remake of a Disney classic.

  

I guess this make sense.
